In Los Angeles, California, a woman bravely held on to the hood of a moving car in order to rescue her cherished French bulldog from a thief.
On January 18, an incident took place outside a Whole Foods supermarket. A woman approached Ali Zacharias, who was the owner of a dog, and forcefully took the pet away.
The woman lifted the dog, whose name is Onyx, and took it to a white car that was being driven by another person.
With great bravery, Zacharias was determined to stop the thieves from escaping with Onyx. He leaped onto the car's hood and held on tightly as it raced through a crowded street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias expressed that he had a strong determination to not release his grip on the car, even saying, "I am not letting this car go." As a result, he held onto the windshield wipers tightly. Unexpectedly, the car started moving down the street and accelerating, causing Zacharias to become terrified for his safety. He shared this alarming experience with CBS News.
A video capturing the incident has become extremely popular online, depicting Zacharias gripping onto the car's hood.
In the situation, Zacharias thought that when the person pulled the leash, they just wanted the dog to go smell something, so she let go. However, she looked up and saw that a woman was holding her dog and walking away with it. In an attempt to stop them from leaving, she stood in front of their car and told them that they couldn't leave because they had her dog. Instead of stopping, they drove into her, causing her to fall onto the hood of their car. Even after falling, she insisted that she wouldn't leave until they gave her dog back. Eventually, they started driving away while she was still holding on to the car, as shown in a TikTok video she shared with NBC News.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempt to save her lovable dog was unsuccessful. She managed to hold on for a short distance before the car suddenly veered, causing her to be thrown off. As a result, she sustained a few insignificant injuries such as cuts and bruises. However, Onyx, her dog, is still nowhere to be found.
"No matter what I'm doing, I feel a sense of sadness because I'm not doing it with Onyx or because he's not here to experience it. For example, when I go grocery shopping, I can't help but think that I'm not buying anything for him. It's amazing how quickly time has passed. It feels like this situation just occurred, and yet it's already been 10 days," she expressed.
The crime is currently being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department, who are actively looking into it and also reviewing security footage as part of their investigation,
