In the near future, CMA Fest will undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.
After being the venue for the festival's main shows for many years, the current Nissan Stadium will be replaced by a new venue once it is finished.
According to the Country Music Association, they have future plans to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest. They are excited about the upcoming nightly concerts in the new stadium and are eager to invite country music fans to Nashville for the event.
The upcoming stadium, appropriately named the New Nissan Stadium, is planned to be constructed on the eastern side of the current Nissan Stadium, situated along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction is expected to commence this year, and it is anticipated that the stadium will be ready for use by 2027.
Those who enjoy country music will still have the option to reach the New Nissan Stadium in downtown Nashville by utilizing the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The new stadium for the Titans will be different from their current one. It will be an indoor facility designed to provide an enhanced experience for fans. It will have large windows offering wide views of Nashville, a roof made of translucent material, and a community space spanning 12,000 square feet that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest, originally known as Fan Fair, is a remarkable event for country music enthusiasts. It originated in 1972 with a modest gathering of 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium and has now transformed into one of the largest annual events in the country music industry. Every year, a multitude of fans from around the world gather in Music City to witness over 250 performances across nine distinct stages.
