In the coming years, CMA Fest will undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans. This means that the current format and experience of CMA Fest will no longer be the same.
After being the venue for the festival's main shows for many years, the current Nissan Stadium will be replaced by a new venue once it is finished.
The Country Music Association has expressed their intention to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest. They are excited about the new stadium and are eagerly anticipating hosting country music enthusiasts for the evening concerts in Nashville.
The upcoming stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, will be constructed on the eastern side of the existing Nissan Stadium, situated along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction is planned to commence in the present year, and the stadium is expected to open in 2027.
Fans of country music will continue to have the option to reach the New Nissan Stadium in downtown Nashville by crossing the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The new venue for the Titans will be different from their current home. It will be an enclosed facility designed specifically to provide fans with a better experience. The venue will offer panoramic views of Nashville, have a roof that allows natural light to come through, and include 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest, previously known as Fan Fair, is an exceptional event for country music fans. It originated in 1972 with a modest gathering of 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. Over the years, it has grown into one of the most significant annual events in country music. Every year, Music City attracts tens of thousands of visitors from around the world who come together to enjoy performances by over 250 artists on nine stages.
