Woman’s Courageous Act: Clinging to Hood of Moving Car to Save Stolen Beloved Dog

  • by

In Los Angeles, California, a brave woman went to extreme lengths to rescue her cherished French bulldog from a thief.

On January 18, an incident took place outside a Whole Foods supermarket where a woman approached Ali Zacharias, the owner of a dog, and abruptly took the pet away from her.

The woman transported the dog, whose name was Onyx, to a white car that was being driven by another individual.

Fearlessly, Zacharias decided to confront the thieves and prevent them from escaping with Onyx. Without hesitation, he leapt onto the front of their car and held on tightly as they raced through the bustling streets of Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted his experience, stating that he was determined to not release his grip on the car. He held onto the windshield wipers tightly as the car accelerated and they continued down the street. In that moment, he felt a surge of fear for his life.

There is also a viral video that captures the incident, displaying Zacharias clinging onto the car's hood.

Zacharias shared her experience in a TikTok video, recounting how she initially thought that her dog wanted to go smell something when he pulled the leash, so she let go. However, she was taken aback when she saw a woman holding her dog and walking away with him. Determined to get her dog back, Zacharias positioned herself in front of the car and firmly told the woman that she couldn't leave because she had her dog. Instead of complying, the individuals in the car drove towards Zacharias, causing her to fall onto the hood of the car. Despite this, she remained resolute and declared that she wouldn't leave until her dog was returned to her. Undeterred, the individuals in the car continued driving away.

Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempts to save her cute dog were unsuccessful. She managed to hold on for a short distance before the car suddenly veered, causing her to be thrown off and resulting in minor injuries. Sadly, Onyx is still nowhere to be found.

"I feel a sense of sadness in everything I do because I wish I could share it with Onyx or that he could experience it too. Even simple tasks like grocery shopping make me realize that I'm not buying anything for him, and it's surprising how quickly time has passed. It feels like this situation just occurred, and yet it's already been 10 days," she expressed.

The crime is currently being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department, who are actively looking into it and reviewing security footage as part of their investigation, as
