In the near future, there will be significant changes to CMA Fest due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.
After being the location for the festival's main performances for many years, the current Nissan Stadium will be replaced by a new venue once it is finished.
The Country Music Association has expressed their intentions to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans every year during CMA Fest. They are excited about inviting country music fans to Nashville for the evening concerts in the recently built stadium.
Construction of the New Nissan Stadium, which will be situated on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, is planned to commence this year. The stadium is expected to be completed by 2027.
Fans of country music will still have the option to reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by utilizing the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
In contrast to the Titans' present stadium, the upcoming location will be a closed-off establishment designed specifically to enhance the fan experience. It will offer breathtaking views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and a generous 12,000 square feet of communal area that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest is known as the ultimate experience for country music fans. It originated in 1972 under the name Fan Fair, starting with a modest gathering of 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. Over the years, it has grown into one of the largest annual events in country music, attracting tens of thousands of visitors from around the world. The festival features over 250 performances by various artists, taking place on nine different stages in Music City.
