In the near future, CMA Fest will undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.
The main performances of the festival have been taking place at the current Nissan Stadium for many years. However, once the new venue is finished, the shows will be relocated there.
The Country Music Association has expressed their intention to maintain their collaboration with the Tennessee Titans every year during CMA Fest. They are excited about hosting country music fans in Nashville for the evening concerts at the new stadium.
A brand new stadium called the New Nissan Stadium will be constructed on the eastern side of the current Nissan Stadium, located along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction is planned to commence in the present year, and it is expected to be completed and open for use by 2027.
Fans of country music can still use the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge to reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville.
The new venue for the Titans will be different from their current home. It will be an enclosed facility that focuses on providing an enhanced fan experience. The venue will offer panoramic views of Nashville, have a translucent roof, and include 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest, also known as the "Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience," originated in 1972 under the name Fan Fair. It initially started off as a small event with 5,000 fans gathering at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. However, it has now grown into one of the largest annual events in the country music industry. Every year, Music City attracts tens of thousands of visitors from around the world who come together to enjoy over 250 performances by various artists on nine different stages.
