Chris Young displayed the injuries he sustained during a confrontation with officers from the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) prior to his recent arrest. The incident was just as agonizing as it appeared.
The singer displayed his bruises to his fans on Tuesday (Jan. 30), which were caused when a police officer forcefully pushed him backward, resulting in a stumble and fall against the edge of a bar. These injuries consist of two significant and discolored bruises: one located on the inner side of his arm, and the other on his lower back.
In his post, Young shares a photo and expresses that the object in the photo is dangerously close to his spine. He sets his post to a clip of "Don't Stand So Close to Me," a popular song from the British rock group the Police that was released in 1980.
In the comment section of Young's post, numerous fans expressed sympathy towards his experience, while some individuals stood up for the actions of the officers.
A commenter raises a question about the ethicality of allowing such actions from them and suggests that by taking legal action, one can contribute to preventing similar incidents from happening to others.
One person expresses their opinion about not interfering with someone's employment and not feeling sympathy towards them. However, they mention that they still enjoy the person's music.
Earlier this month, the actor from the show "Young Love & Saturday Nights" was taken into custody at the Dawg House, a bar in Nashville. The charges against him include disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer.
However, the video evidence of the incident, captured by security cameras and fellow bar-goers, presents a contrasting narrative. It depicts Young as respectful and compliant towards the officers during his arrest. It shows that he barely made contact with one of the officers before being forcefully pushed backwards and over a bar.
The charges against the singer were dismissed, and Young then confidently responded to those who criticized him for making contact with the officer.
Now that all the accusations against Young have been dropped, he can put the incident in the past, at least from a legal standpoint. It's highly probable that he will resume his efforts to promote his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Nights, scheduled to be released on March 22.
