In the near future, CMA Fest will undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.
After being hosted at Nissan Stadium for several years, the festival's main shows will be relocated to the newly constructed venue once it is finished.
The Country Music Association has expressed their intention to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans on an annual basis during the CMA Fest. They eagerly anticipate hosting country music enthusiasts in Nashville for the evening concerts that will take place in the newly constructed stadium.
Construction of the upcoming New Nissan Stadium, appropriately named, will take place on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, located just east of the existing Nissan Stadium. The construction is planned to commence this year and the stadium is expected to open its doors in 2027.
Fans of country music can still reach the New Nissan Stadium in downtown Nashville by utilizing the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The new stadium for the Titans will be different from their current home. It will be a closed facility designed to provide an enhanced fan experience. It will offer breathtaking views of Nashville, have a roof that allows natural light to pass through, and include a community space of 12,000 square feet that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest, originally known as Fan Fair, has become the ultimate event for country music fans since its inception in 1972. What initially started as a small gathering of 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium has transformed into one of the largest annual events in country music. Every year, Music City attracts tens of thousands of visitors from all over the world who come to experience more than 250 performances by various artists on nine different stages.
