The Future of CMA Fest: What to Expect at the New Nissan Stadium

  • by

The Tennessee Titans' upcoming construction of a new stadium means that CMA Fest will undergo significant changes in the future.

After being the venue for the festival's main shows for a number of years, the current Nissan Stadium will be replaced by a new venue once it is finished.

The Country Music Association has expressed their intention to maintain their partnership with the Tennessee Titans every year during CMA Fest. They are excited about hosting country music fans in Nashville for the nightly concerts at the newly built stadium.

A stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, is planned to be constructed to the east of the existing Nissan Stadium, situated on the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction is expected to commence in the current year, and the stadium is projected to open in 2027.

Fans of country music will still have the option to reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by utilizing the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

In contrast to the Titans' existing stadium, the upcoming location will be a closed facility designed specifically to enhance the fan experience. It will offer stunning panoramic views of Nashville, a roof that allows natural light to filter through, and a generous 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.

CMA Fest, originally known as Fan Fair, is a remarkable event for country music fans. It was established in 1972 and initially attracted 5,000 attendees at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. Over the years, it has grown into one of the largest annual gatherings in the country music industry. People from all around the world come together in Music City to witness over 250 performances by various artists across nine different stages.

The upcoming CMA Fest in 2024 has been planned to take place from June 6th to June
