There have been six unforgettable final concerts that are haunting in their own way. Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Daryle Singletary, and others have all had their last performances before leaving the stage forever. George Jones was aware that his concert would be his last, while Daryle Singletary had no idea, which adds an eerie touch to the song he decided to conclude the night with.
Following Merle Haggard's passing, there circulated a compelling narrative about Toby Keith playing a role in ensuring Haggard's graceful exit from the stage. However, this account turned out to be false. Keith was not present during Haggard's last performance, and neither was the individual who deceived us into believing otherwise.
In fact, the individual referred to as actor W. Earl Brown did not attend the event where Keith provided assistance to Haggard. He merely received information about it.

Taste of Country found a review of Haggard's last concert and uncovered a touching moment that deserves just as much recognition as the Toby Keith hero story. This is one of six memories from the final concert, which is shared in the video above (and in pictures below).
Included in this poignant video are the final performances of John Denver, the last song performed by Johnny Cash, and Waylon Jennings' farewell performance made for television.
Our preferred performance is the Singletary performance. If you are acquainted with Johnny Paycheck's song "Old Violin," you know where he ended it. If you are not familiar with it, continue watching.
