There have been six unforgettable final concerts by renowned artists such as Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Daryle Singletary, and others. George Jones was aware that his last concert would be his final performance. On the other hand, Daryle Singletary was unaware, which adds to the haunting nature of the song he selected to conclude the evening.
Following the passing of Merle Haggard, a touching tale circulated claiming that Toby Keith had played a role in ensuring Haggard's exit from the stage was dignified. However, this account turned out to be false. It was revealed that neither Keith nor the individual who deceived us into believing the story were present during Haggard's last performance.
In reality, the individual being referred to as "that guy" is W. Earl Brown, an actor who did not attend the show where Keith actually assisted Haggard in finishing. Brown had merely heard about it from someone else.

Taste of Country found a review of Haggard's last concert and uncovered a touching moment that deserves as much recognition as the Toby Keith hero story. This is one of the six cherished memories from the final concert, which can be seen in the video above and in the pictures below.
This video also includes the last performance of John Denver, the final song of Johnny Cash, and the made-for-TV swan song of Waylon Jennings, creating a bittersweet atmosphere.
We particularly enjoy the Singletary performance. If you are already acquainted with Johnny Paycheck's "Old Violin," you'll understand the reference. However, if you are not familiar with it, we encourage you to continue watching.
