In the future, CMA Fest will undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.
After being the host of the festival's main performances for many years, the current Nissan Stadium will be replaced by a new venue where the shows will take place once it is finished.
According to the Country Music Association, they have intentions to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest. Additionally, they express excitement for the upcoming concerts in the new stadium, where country fans will be warmly received in Nashville.
A brand new stadium, appropriately named the New Nissan Stadium, is planned to be constructed on the eastern side of the current Nissan Stadium, situated along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction process is expected to commence this year, and the stadium is projected to be open to the public by 2027.
Fans of country music can still get to the New Nissan Stadium in downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The new stadium for the Titans will be different from their current home. It will be an indoor facility designed to provide an enhanced fan experience. The stadium will offer stunning views of Nashville, have a see-through roof, and include a community space of 12,000 square feet that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest, originally known as Fan Fair, has evolved into the ultimate experience for country music fans since its inception in 1972. What initially started as a small gathering of 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium has now become one of the largest annual events in country music. Thousands of attendees from around the world travel to Music City each year to witness over 250 performances by various artists across nine different stages.
