The future of CMA Fest is set to undergo changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans. This means that the current format of the festival will not be the same in the following years.
After being hosted at Nissan Stadium for many years, the festival's main shows will be relocated to the new venue once it is finished.
According to the Country Music Association, they have future plans to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans on an annual basis during CMA Fest. They are excited about the upcoming concerts that will take place in the new stadium and are eager to invite country music fans to Nashville.
A brand new stadium called the New Nissan Stadium will be constructed on the eastern side of the existing Nissan Stadium, located along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction is planned to commence this year, and it is expected to be ready for use by the year 2027.
Fans of country music will still have the option to reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The upcoming stadium for the Titans will be a completely different type of structure compared to their current home. It will be a closed-off facility specifically designed to enhance the fan experience. It will feature wide-ranging views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and a large community area spanning 12,000 square feet that can be utilized throughout the entire year.
CMA Fest, originally known as Fan Fair, is an incredible event for country music fans. It first took place in 1972 with only 5,000 attendees at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. Over the years, it has grown into one of the largest annual gatherings in the country music industry. People from all over the world come to Music City to witness over 250 performances by various artists across nine different stages.
