In the near future, CMA Fest will undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.
After being the host of the festival's main shows for many years, the current Nissan Stadium will no longer be the venue for these shows once the new venue is finished.
The Country Music Association expressed their intentions to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest, and they are excited to invite country music fans to Nashville for the evening concerts at the new stadium.
A brand new stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, is going to be constructed on the eastern side of the existing Nissan Stadium, which is situated along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction is planned to commence this year, and the stadium is expected to be ready for use by 2027.
Fans of country music can still reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
In contrast to the Titans' current stadium, the upcoming location will be a closed-off facility specifically designed to enhance the fan experience. It will offer breathtaking views of Nashville, a roof that allows natural light to filter through, and a generous 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest is an incredible event for country music fans, known as the "Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience." It first started in 1972 under the name Fan Fair. Initially, it was a small gathering of 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. However, over the years, it has grown into one of the largest and most important country music events of the year. Now, tens of thousands of people from all over the world come together in Music City to enjoy over 250 performances by various artists on nine different stages.
