The Future of CMA Fest: How the New Nissan Stadium Will Change the Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience

  • by

In the near future, CMA Fest is expected to undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans. As a result, the event will not remain the same as we currently know it.

After being the host of the festival's main performances for many years, the current Nissan Stadium will no longer be used for these shows once the new venue is finished.

The Country Music Association has stated that they intend to maintain their collaboration with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest. They are excited about hosting country music fans in Nashville for the evening performances at the newly built stadium.

A new stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, is going to be constructed on the eastern side of the existing Nissan Stadium, located along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction is expected to start in the present year and the stadium is planned to be ready for public use by 2027.

Fans of country music will still have the option to reach the New Nissan Stadium in downtown Nashville by utilizing the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

In contrast to the Titans' current stadium, the upcoming venue will be an indoor facility designed specifically to enhance the fan experience. It will offer breathtaking views of Nashville, feature a see-through roof, and provide 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.

CMA Fest, originally known as Fan Fair, is an extraordinary event for country music enthusiasts. It first took place in 1972 with a modest gathering of 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. However, it has since grown into one of the largest annual events in the country music industry. Every year, Music City welcomes tens of thousands of visitors from around the world who come together to enjoy performances by over 250 artists on nine distinct stages.
