In Los Angeles, California, a brave woman resorted to extreme measures to rescue her cherished French bulldog from a thief.
On January 18, an incident took place outside a Whole Foods supermarket where a woman came up to Ali Zacharias, who was walking her dog, and forcefully took the pet away from her.
The woman transported the dog, named Onyx, to a white car which was being driven by someone else.
Fearlessly, Zacharias was determined to prevent the thieves from escaping with Onyx. He bravely leapt onto the car's front, gripping tightly as it raced through a bustling street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted the incident to CBS News, stating that he was determined not to release his grip on the car and held onto the windshield wipers. Without realizing it, they started driving down the street at an increasing speed, causing Zacharias to panic for his life.
A video capturing the event has become widely popular, displaying Zacharias gripping onto the car's hood.
Zacharias recounted her experience to NBC News, explaining that when her dog pulled on the leash, she initially thought he wanted to go sniff something, so she let go. However, she then noticed a woman holding her dog and walking away with him. Determined to retrieve her beloved pet, Zacharias positioned herself in front of the car and firmly stated that they couldn't leave because they had her dog. Instead of complying, they drove towards her, forcing her to fall onto the hood of their car. Undeterred, she remained on the hood and declared that she wouldn't leave until they returned her dog. Despite her efforts, they eventually drove off, leaving her in distress. This entire incident was captured in a TikTok video where Zacharias can be seen desperately clinging to the car.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempt to save her cute dog was unsuccessful. She managed to hold on for a short distance before the vehicle abruptly changed direction, causing her to be thrown off and resulting in minor injuries like cuts and bruises. Unfortunately, Onyx is still nowhere to be found.
"No matter what I'm busy with, I feel a sense of sadness that I can't do it with Onyx or that he's not able to experience it. For instance, when I'm grocery shopping, I'm always aware that I'm not getting anything for him. It's surprising how fast time has passed. It feels like this just occurred, and yet it's already been 10 days," she expressed.
As per CBS reports, the Los Angeles Police Department is currently engaged in an ongoing investigation of the crime, which involves analyzing security footage.
