A woman in Los Angeles, California bravely held onto the hood of a moving car in order to rescue her stolen French bulldog from a thief.
On January 18, an incident occurred outside a Whole Foods store where a woman came up to Ali Zacharias, the owner of a dog, and forcefully took away her pet.
The woman transported Onyx, her dog, towards a white car that was being operated by another person.
With great courage, Zacharias was determined to stop the thieves from escaping with Onyx. He bravely leaped onto the car's hood and held on tightly as it raced through a crowded street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted his experience, stating that he was determined not to release his grip on the car, so he held onto the windshield wipers. Without realizing it, they began driving down the street and gaining speed, causing Zacharias to panic for his safety.
There is a viral video circulating that captures the incident, which depicts Zacharias gripping onto the car's hood.
Zacharias recounted the incident to NBC News through a TikTok video, explaining that when he tugged on the leash, she assumed he wanted to go sniff something, so she let go. However, to her surprise, she noticed a woman holding her dog and walking away with him. In an attempt to stop them, she positioned herself in front of the car and asserted that they couldn't leave as they had her dog. Despite her efforts, the individuals inside the car drove towards her, eventually causing her to land on the hood of their vehicle. Undeterred, she remained steadfast, refusing to leave without her beloved pet. Eventually, the car drove away, leaving her in distress.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempts to save her cute little dog were unsuccessful. She managed to hold on for a short distance before the car abruptly changed direction, causing her to be thrown off and resulting in some minor injuries. Unfortunately, Onyx is still nowhere to be found.
"I feel a sense of sadness no matter what I'm doing because I wish I could do it with Onyx or that he could be a part of it. For example, when I go grocery shopping, I can't help but think that I'm not buying anything for him. Time has passed so quickly, it feels like this just happened. And yet, it's already been 10 days," she expressed.
The crime is currently being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department, with their efforts including the examination of security footage, as reported by CBS.
