In Los Angeles, California, a woman bravely held onto the hood of a moving car in order to rescue her beloved French bulldog from a thief.
On January 18, an incident took place outside a Whole Foods supermarket where a woman approached Ali Zacharias, who was the owner of a dog, and suddenly took away her pet.
The woman lifted Onyx, the dog, and took him to a white car that was being driven by another person.
Fearlessly, Zacharias was determined to prevent the thieves from escaping with Onyx. He bravely leaped onto the car's hood and held on tightly as it raced through a crowded street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted the incident to CBS News, stating that he refused to release his grip on the windshield wipers, determined to not let go of the car. As they continued driving down the street and accelerating, he became terrified for his life.
The incident has gained widespread attention due to a video that has gone viral, which depicts Zacharias gripping onto the car's hood.
Zacharias recounted the incident in a TikTok video to NBC News, explaining that when the person pulled on the leash, she initially thought they just wanted her dog to sniff something, so she let go. However, to her surprise, a woman had taken hold of her dog and was walking away with him. In an attempt to stop them, she positioned herself in front of their car and firmly told them that they couldn't leave because they had her dog. Instead of stopping, they drove into her until she fell onto the hood of their car. Despite the fall, she remained determined and declared that she wouldn't leave without her dog. However, the individuals ignored her plea and drove away.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempts to save her cute puppy were unsuccessful. She managed to hold on for a short distance until the car abruptly changed direction, causing her to be thrown off and resulting in some minor injuries. Onyx, her puppy, is still nowhere to be found.
"I feel a sense of sadness whenever I engage in any activity, as I realize that I'm not able to do it with Onyx or that he is missing out on it. Even something as simple as grocery shopping makes me think about not buying anything for him. Time has passed so swiftly, it feels like this just occurred, and yet it has already been 10 days," she expressed.
The crime is currently being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department, as reported by CBS. The authorities are actively looking into the incident, which includes the
