There have been several haunting final concerts by legendary artists such as Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, and Daryle Singletary. George Jones was aware that his last concert would be his final performance, while Daryle Singletary was oblivious to this fact. However, the song he decided to conclude the evening with added an even more eerie atmosphere to his unknowingly last show.
Following the passing of Merle Haggard, a heartwarming tale circulated, claiming that Toby Keith had assisted him in gracefully exiting the limelight. However, this account turned out to be false. Contrary to popular belief, Keith was not present during Haggard's last performance, and the person who deceived us into believing otherwise was also absent.
In fact, actor W. Earl Brown was not present at the show where Keith actually assisted Haggard in finishing. He only learned about it from others.

Taste of Country uncovered a review of Haggard's last concert and found a special moment that deserves just as much recognition as the Toby Keith hero story. This is one of the six memories from his final concert, which can be seen in the video above (and in the pictures below).
Included in this poignant video are John Denver's final performance, Johnny Cash's last song, and Waylon Jennings' made-for-TV farewell.
We have a strong preference for the Singletary performance. If you are already acquainted with Johnny Paycheck's "Old Violin," then you are aware of the specific point where he stopped. However, if you are not familiar with it, continue watching to find out.
