The Future of CMA Fest: How the New Nissan Stadium Will Change the Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience

  • by

In the near future, CMA Fest will undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.

After being the host of the festival's main shows for a number of years, the current Nissan Stadium will no longer be the venue for these shows once the new venue is finished.

The Country Music Association has stated that they have ongoing plans to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans every year during the CMA Fest. They are excited to invite country music fans to Nashville for the nightly concerts that will take place in the newly built stadium.

The upcoming stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, is planned to be constructed on the eastern side of the existing Nissan Stadium, located along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction will commence later this year, and the stadium is expected to be ready for opening in 2027.

Fans of country music will continue to have the option to reach the New Nissan Stadium in downtown Nashville by utilizing the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

The new stadium for the Titans will be different from their current home. It will be an indoor facility specifically designed to provide an enhanced fan experience. It will offer stunning views of Nashville, have a see-through roof, and include a large community area spanning 12,000 square feet that can be utilized throughout the year.

CMA Fest, originally known as Fan Fair, is an exceptional event for country music fans. It first took place in 1972 with a modest attendance of 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. Over the years, it has transformed into one of the largest and most significant annual gatherings in country music. People from all around the world come together in Music City to witness over 250 performances by various artists on nine different stages.
