In the near future, CMA Fest will undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.
After being the location for the festival's main performances for many years, the current Nissan Stadium will no longer host them once the new venue is finished.
According to the Country Music Association, they intend to maintain their collaboration with the Tennessee Titans on an annual basis during CMA Fest. Additionally, they are excited to host country music enthusiasts in Nashville for the nightly concerts held in the newly constructed stadium.
The upcoming stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, is going to be constructed on the eastern side of the existing Nissan Stadium, located along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction is planned to commence this year, and it is expected to be ready for opening in 2027.
Fans of country music will still have the option to reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
In contrast to the Titans' current stadium, the upcoming venue will be a closed facility designed to provide fans with an enhanced experience. It will offer stunning views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and a community space spanning 12,000 square feet that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest, originally known as Fan Fair, is a highly anticipated event for country music enthusiasts. It originated in 1972 with just 5,000 fans gathering at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium, but has now evolved into one of the largest annual events in the country music industry. Drawing in tens of thousands of attendees from around the world, this four-day festival showcases over 250 performances across nine distinct stages in the vibrant city of Nashville.
The dates for CMA Fest 2024 have been set from June 6th to June 9th
