In Los Angeles, California, a courageous woman went to extreme lengths to protect her beloved French bulldog from a thief.
On January 18, an incident occurred outside a Whole Foods supermarket where a woman approached Ali Zacharias, the owner of a dog, and abruptly took her pet away.
The woman held Onyx, the dog, and took him to a white car which was being driven by another person.
Fearlessly, Zacharias was determined to prevent the thieves from escaping with Onyx. He swiftly leaped onto the car's hood and held on tight as it raced through a bustling street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted his experience, stating that he was determined not to release his grip on the car, so he firmly held onto the windshield wipers. However, the situation quickly escalated as the car continued to drive down the street at an increasing speed, causing him to panic and fear for his life. This account was shared with CBS News.
A video capturing the event has also gained widespread attention on the internet, depicting Zacharias clinging onto the car's hood.
In her TikTok video, Zacharias recounted the incident where she initially thought her dog wanted to go smell something, so she let go of the leash. However, she was shocked to see a woman holding her dog and walking away with him. Determined to get her dog back, Zacharias stood in front of the car and firmly told the woman that she could not leave with her dog. The car started driving towards her, eventually hitting her and causing her to fall onto the hood. Undeterred, Zacharias remained on the hood and insisted that she would not leave until her dog was returned to her. The car then drove off, leaving her in distress.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempt to save his cute dog was unsuccessful. He managed to hold on for a short distance until the car suddenly changed direction, causing him to fall off and suffer minor injuries. Unfortunately, Onyx is still nowhere to be found.
Regardless of what I am engaged in, I feel a sense of sadness because I am not doing it with Onyx or because he is not present. For example, when I go grocery shopping, I cannot help but think that I am not buying anything for him. It is astonishing how quickly time has passed. I still vividly remember the moment this occurred, and yet it has already been 10 days," she expressed.
As per CBS, the Los Angeles Police Department is currently engaged in an investigation into the crime, which involves the examination of security footage.
