In the near future, CMA Fest will undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.
After hosting the festival's main shows for many years, the current Nissan Stadium will be replaced by a new venue where the shows will be held once it is finished.
The Country Music Association states that they have ongoing plans to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans every year during CMA Fest. They are excited about hosting country music fans in Nashville for the nightly concerts that will take place in the new stadium.
Construction will soon begin on a new stadium called the New Nissan Stadium, located on the East Bank of the Cumberland River. This stadium will be built east of the current Nissan Stadium. Its completion is expected in 2027.
Fans of country music will still have the option to reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The new stadium for the Titans will be different from their current home. It will be an indoor facility that focuses on providing an exceptional experience for fans. The stadium will offer panoramic views of Nashville, a roof made of translucent material, and a community space spanning 12,000 square feet that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest, originally known as Fan Fair, is a remarkable event for country music enthusiasts. It was established in 1972 and initially attracted 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. Over the years, it has transformed into one of the largest annual events in country music. With over 250 performances on nine stages, tens of thousands of attendees from around the world come together in Music City to experience this ultimate fan gathering.
