In the coming years, CMA Fest is expected to undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.
The festival's main shows have been taking place at Nissan Stadium for many years, but they will be relocated to the new venue once it is finished.
According to the Country Music Association, they have plans to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest, and they are excited to invite country music enthusiasts to Nashville for the evening performances held in the recently built stadium.
A brand new stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, is planned to be constructed on the eastern side of the existing Nissan Stadium, situated along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction of the stadium is expected to commence within this year, and it is anticipated to be ready for its grand opening in 2027.
Fans of country music can still reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by utilizing the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
In contrast to the Titans' existing stadium, the upcoming location will be an enclosed establishment specifically designed to provide an enhanced experience for fans. It will offer breathtaking views of Nashville, a roof made of translucent material, and a spacious community area spanning over 12,000 square feet, which can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest, originally known as Fan Fair, is an incredible event for country music fans. It started in 1972 with just 5,000 attendees at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium and has since grown into one of the largest annual gatherings in country music.
