In Los Angeles, California, a woman bravely held onto the hood of a moving car in an attempt to rescue her beloved French bulldog from a thief.
On January 18, an incident occurred outside a Whole Foods store where a woman approached Ali Zacharias, who was walking her dog, and forcefully took the pet away.
The woman picked up the dog named Onyx and brought him to a white car that was being driven by another person.
Fearlessly, Zacharias was determined to stop the thieves from escaping with Onyx. He bravely leaped onto the car's hood and held on tightly as it raced through a bustling street in Los Angeles.

Zacharias recounted the incident to CBS News, explaining that he was determined to not release his grip on the windshield wipers of the car. He found himself in a situation where the vehicle was accelerating and he started to panic for his own safety.
Zacharias clinging onto the car's hood during the incident was captured on a viral video.
Zacharias recounted the incident to NBC News through a TikTok video, explaining that when the man pulled the leash, she thought he just wanted their dog to smell something, so she let go. However, to her surprise, a woman appeared and began walking away with the dog. Zacharias took a stand by positioning herself in front of the car, firmly stating that they couldn't leave because they had her dog. In a desperate attempt to get away, the individuals in the car drove into her until she fell onto the hood. Even in this vulnerable position, Zacharias remained determined, declaring that she wouldn't leave until they returned her dog. Despite her protests, the individuals drove off.
Regrettably, Zacharias' brave attempts to save her cute little dog were unsuccessful. She managed to hold on for a short distance before the car suddenly changed direction and caused her to fall off, resulting in minor injuries such as cuts and bruises. Unfortunately, Onyx is still nowhere to be found.
"No matter what I'm engaged in, it saddens me that I can't include Onyx or that he's not experiencing it. When I go grocery shopping, I can't help but feel like I'm neglecting him by not buying anything for him. It's astonishing how swiftly time has passed. It seems like this just occurred, and yet it's already been 10 days," she expressed.
CBS reports that the Los Angeles Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into the crime, which involves an analysis of security footage.
