Reba McEntire Returns to TV: Reuniting with ‘Reba’ Team for New Sitcom

Country music star Reba McEntire is making a comeback on television.

Following her recent stint as a coach on the popular singing show "The Voice," McEntire is now collaborating with NBC once again for an unnamed comedy pilot that will be filmed using multiple cameras.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the main focus of the series centers around the character played by McEntire. In the show, she unexpectedly inherits her father's restaurant, but is not particularly excited when she learns that she now has a new co-owner in the form of her previously unknown half-sister.

McEntire and showrunner Kevin Abbott, who has worked on popular shows like Last Man Standing, Roseanne, and The Golden Girls, will be joining forces again.

According to reports, Michael Hanel and Mindy Schultheis, who previously worked as executive producers on the show Reba, will be joining Reba McEntire on her new comedy series on NBC.

NBC has recently given the green light for their first pilot order of 2024, which comes after the conclusion of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
