The Future of CMA Fest: How the New Nissan Stadium Will Change the Country Music Fan Experience

  • by

In the near future, CMA Fest will undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans. The familiar format of the festival will soon be a thing of the past.

After being the location for the festival's main performances for many years, the current Nissan Stadium will no longer host them once the new venue is finished.

The Country Music Association has expressed their intention to continue collaborating with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest. They are excited about inviting country music enthusiasts to Nashville for the nightly concerts that will take place in the newly built stadium.

The upcoming stadium, appropriately named the New Nissan Stadium, will be constructed to the east of the existing Nissan Stadium, situated along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction is slated to commence in the present year, and the stadium is expected to be ready for use by 2027.

Fans of country music will continue to have access to the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

The new stadium, in contrast to the Titans' current home, will be an indoor facility designed to provide an enhanced fan experience. It will offer breathtaking views of Nashville, feature a see-through roof, and include a community space spanning 12,000 square feet that can be utilized throughout the year.

CMA Fest, previously known as Fan Fair, is an extraordinary event for country music enthusiasts. It originated in 1972 with a modest gathering of 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. Over the years, it has grown into one of the largest annual events in the country music industry. Every year, Music City welcomes tens of thousands of guests from around the world who gather to witness over 250 performances by various artists across nine different stages.
