In the near future, CMA Fest will undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.
After being the location for the festival's main shows for many years, the current Nissan Stadium will no longer host them once the new venue is finished.
The Country Music Association has expressed their intention to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans on an annual basis during the CMA Fest. They are excited about hosting country music fans in Nashville for the evening concerts at the newly built stadium.
The upcoming stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, is planned to be constructed on the eastern side of the existing Nissan Stadium, situated along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction is expected to commence in the present year, and it is projected to be ready for opening in 2027.
Fans of country music can still reach the New Nissan Stadium located in downtown Nashville by utilizing the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
In contrast to the Titans' present stadium, the upcoming location will be an enclosed establishment specifically designed to enhance the fan experience. It will offer breathtaking views of Nashville, feature a transparent roof, and include 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the entire year.
CMA Fest, previously known as Fan Fair, is an extraordinary event for country music enthusiasts. It originated in 1972 with a modest gathering of 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. Over the years, it has grown into one of the largest and most significant annual events in country music. People from various parts of the world come together in Music City to witness over 250 performances by different artists on nine distinct stages.
