There have been six memorable final concerts by renowned artists such as Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, and Daryle Singletary. George Jones was aware that his concert was his last, while Daryle Singletary was not, which adds an extra haunting element to the song he performed to close the night.
Following the passing of Merle Haggard, an interesting tale circulated about Toby Keith assisting him in exiting the stage with his pride unharmed. However, this account turned out to be false. Neither Keith nor the person responsible for deceiving us were present during the Hag's last performance.
In fact, the individual referred to as W. Earl Brown, who is an actor, was not present at the event where Keith actually assisted Haggard in completing it. He only became aware of the incident through word of mouth.
