The Future of CMA Fest: What to Expect as Tennessee Titans Get New Stadium

  • by

The upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans is expected to change the landscape of CMA Fest in the coming years.

The main shows of the festival have been held at Nissan Stadium for a while, but they will be relocated to the new venue once it is finished.

The Country Music Association is planning to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans every year during CMA Fest and is excited to host country fans in Nashville for the evening concerts at the new stadium.

A new stadium, called the New Nissan Stadium, will be constructed on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, located east of the current Nissan Stadium. Construction will start this year and is expected to be completed by 2027.

Fans of country music can still get to the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

The new stadium for the Titans will be indoors and focused on providing fans with an exceptional experience, offering views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and a large community space for year-round use.

CMA Fest, originally known as Fan Fair, is an event that has been held since 1972 and is considered the ultimate experience for country music fans. It started with just 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium but has grown into one of the largest annual events in country music. Every year, tens of thousands of fans from around the world come to Music City to watch over 250 performances across nine stages.
