6 Memorable Last Performances: Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Daryle Singletary + More
George Jones was aware that his last concert would be his final one. On the other hand, Daryle Singletary was not aware of this fact, which added a haunting quality to the song he decided to close the night with.
Following the passing of Merle Haggard, there was a widely spread story that Toby Keith had assisted him in gracefully exiting the stage during his final performance. However, this story turned out to be false as Keith was not present at Hag's last show, and the person who originally shared the story was also not in attendance.
In reality, the actor W. Earl Brown was not present at the event where Keith actually assisted Haggard. He only found out about it afterwards.

Taste of Country found a review of what seems to be Haggard's last concert and found a touching moment that deserves just as much recognition as the Toby Keith hero story. This is one of six memories from his final concert that are shared in the video above and in the pictures below.
The video contains memorable moments such as John Denver's last performance, Johnny Cash's final song, and Waylon Jennings' made-for-TV farewell.
We really enjoy the Singletary performance. If you know the song "Old Violin" by Johnny Paycheck, you'll understand the emotion he put into it. If you're not familiar with the song, make sure to watch it.
