Country music star Reba McEntire participated in a chili cookoff and ended up in last place, with actor Rex Linn as one of the judges. Despite being a cute couple, Reba and Rex did not show each other any favoritism in the competition.
McEntire recently took part in a Hillbilly Chili Cookoff, where Linn was one of the judges. Despite their personal connection, McEntire did not receive any special treatment during the judging.
McEntire actually finished in last place. As a result, she received a unique trophy: a chili pepper being flushed down a toilet.
Despite not winning, McEntire showed good sportsmanship by posting a video on social media of her participation in a cookoff competition where she came in last place.

In a recent interview on CBS Mornings, McEntire talked about her unsuccessful attempt at a chili cookoff and acknowledged that she has a good understanding of what went awry.
She forgot to add any spices to the dish, but added chili powder and hatch green chilis thinking it would be enough flavor. She was following a Texas recipe and was really excited about the dish.
Even though Linn's romantic relationship didn't improve her ranking, McEntire believes that being her girlfriend may have softened the blow when the judges announced her last place standing.
During the event, Rex, who was one of the judges, approached me and quietly shared the news. He expressed his sympathy and then revealed that I had not won, despite my hopeful inquiry.
Then he gave me the award, which turned out to be a chili pepper in the shape of a toilet. So I made a joke about it, McEntire adds.
Setting jokes aside, McEntire also discussed her connection with Linn and the reasons behind their successful relationship. They have been acquainted for a long time, meeting in 1991 during the filming of The Gambler Returns starring Kenny Rogers. However, their romantic feelings didn't develop until they reconnected in 2020. In the interim, McEntire was married to her husband Narvel Blackstock, with whom she has a son named Shelby.
During a conversation with Rex, McEntire wondered aloud why they hadn't connected sooner. Rex pointed out that one reason may have been because she was previously married. McEntire describes Rex as fun and energetic, while she has become more laid back. She believes their meeting happened at the perfect moment.
Following that, McEntire is going to Las Vegas to perform the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. Additionally, she is working on a new television show that will reunite her with some of the people who helped create her popular series, Reba.
