In the near future, CMA Fest is expected to undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans. This means that the event may not be the same as it has been in the past.
The festival's main shows have been held at Nissan Stadium for many years, but they will be moved to a new venue once it is finished.
The Country Music Association stated that they intend to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest and are excited to host country music fans in Nashville for the evening concerts at the new stadium.
A new stadium, appropriately named the New Nissan Stadium, will be constructed on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, situated east of the existing Nissan Stadium. Construction is expected to start this year, and the stadium is projected to open in 2027.
People who enjoy country music can still get to the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The new stadium for the Titans will be different from their current one as it will be enclosed and focused on providing fans with an exceptional experience. It will offer panoramic views of Nashville, have a translucent roof, and include 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest is a popular event for country music fans that started in 1972 as Fan Fair. It began with 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium and has now become one of the largest country music events of the year. Thousands of guests from around the world come to Music City to watch over 250 performances on nine stages.
The CMA Fest 2024 will take place from June 6-9 in the heart of Nashville.
