In the near future, CMA Fest will undergo changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans. This means that the traditional CMA Fest event may not look the same in the coming years.
The main shows of the festival have been held at Nissan Stadium for many years, but they will be relocated to the new venue once construction is finished.
The Country Music Association is planning to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during the CMA Fest. They are excited about hosting country music fans in Nashville for the evening concerts at the new stadium.
A new stadium, appropriately named the New Nissan Stadium, is planned to be constructed on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, just east of the current Nissan Stadium. The construction is expected to start this year and the stadium is projected to open in 2027.
Fans of country music can still get to the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The new stadium for the Titans will be completely enclosed and designed to offer fans an enhanced experience. It will have panoramic views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest, formerly known as Fan Fair, is a popular event for country music fans that started in 1972 with 5,000 attendees at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. It has now grown into one of the largest annual events in country music, attracting tens of thousands of guests from around the world to Music City to watch over 250 acts perform on nine stages.
