Reba McEntire Returns to TV: Reuniting with ‘Reba’ Team for New Sitcom

Reba McEntire is joining forces with the team from her previous show "Reba" for a new sitcom, marking her return to television.

Following her time as a coach on the television show "The Voice," Reba McEntire is collaborating with NBC once more for a new multi-camera comedy pilot that does not yet have a title.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the show follows the story of McEntire's character, who unexpectedly becomes co-owner of her father's restaurant when she learns she has a half-sister she never knew about.

McEntire is set to work again with experienced showrunner Kevin Abbott, known for his work on Last Man Standing, Roseanne, and The Golden Girls.

It is reported that Michael Hanel and Mindy Schultheis, who previously worked as executive producers on Reba, will be joining Reba McEntire on the upcoming NBC comedy series.

NBC has recently ordered its first pilot for 2024 after the conclusion of strikes by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA.

The singer known for "Fancy" made her television debut in the early 2000s with a successful sitcom called Reba, which aired for six seasons from 2001 to 2007.

McEntire played the lead role in a show where she portrayed a mother from Texas dealing with the dissolution of her marriage, her husband's infidelity, and her daughter's pregnancy during her teenage years.

The show Reba is still being broadcast on the Hallmark Channel through syndication.

During 2012, McEntire played a leading role in the ABC show Malibu Country, which also featured Lily Tomlin and Sara Rue.
