The Future of CMA Fest: How the New Nissan Stadium Will Change the Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience

  • by

The future of CMA Fest is uncertain with the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans. The festival may undergo significant changes in the coming years.

The festival's main shows have been held at Nissan Stadium for many years, but they will be relocated to the new venue once it is finished.

The Country Music Association plans to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest and is excited to host country music fans in Nashville for the evening concerts at the new stadium.

A new stadium, appropriately named the New Nissan Stadium, is planned to be constructed on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, located east of the current Nissan Stadium. Construction is expected to start this year, and the stadium is projected to open in 2027.

Fans of country music can still reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

The new stadium for the Titans will be enclosed and focused on providing an enhanced experience for fans. It will offer panoramic views of Nashville, have a see-through roof, and include 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.

CMA Fest, originally known as Fan Fair, started in 1972 as a way for country music fans to come together. It began with only 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium but has since grown into one of the largest country music events of the year. Every year, tens of thousands of guests from around the world come to Music City to watch over 250 performances on nine stages.

The CMA Fest 2024 will take place from June 6-9 in the heart of Nashville.
