In the upcoming years, CMA Fest will undergo changes due to the Tennessee Titans' plans for a new stadium. This means that the festival will not remain the same as it has been in the past.
The festival's main shows have been held at Nissan Stadium for many years, but they will be moving to a new venue once it is finished.
The Country Music Association is excited to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans during CMA Fest each year. They are looking forward to hosting country music fans in Nashville for the nightly concerts at the new stadium.
A brand new stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, is planned to be constructed on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, located to the east of the existing Nissan Stadium. The building process is expected to start this year, and the stadium is projected to be open to the public in 2027.
Fans of country music will still have the option to get to the New Nissan Stadium in Nashville from downtown by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The new stadium for the Titans will be different from their current one, as it will be enclosed and focused on providing fans with a better experience. It will have wide views of Nashville, a roof that lets in natural light, and a large community space that can be used throughout the year.
CMA Fest is an event known as the "Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience," that originated in 1972 under the name Fan Fair. It started as a small gathering of 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium and has since grown into one of the largest annual events in country music. Every year, tens of thousands of attendees from around the world come together in Music City to enjoy performances from over 250 artists on nine different stages.
