The Future of CMA Fest: What to Expect With the New Nissan Stadium

  • by

The upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans suggests that CMA Fest will undergo significant changes in the coming years.

The main shows of the festival have been held at Nissan Stadium for many years, but they will be relocated to the new venue once it's finished.

The Country Music Association has confirmed that they will continue collaborating with the Tennessee Titans during CMA Fest each year. They are excited to host country fans in Nashville for the nightly concerts at the new stadium.

A new stadium, appropriately named the New Nissan Stadium, will be constructed on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, located just east of the current Nissan Stadium. Building of the stadium is expected to start this year, and it is projected to be ready for opening in 2027.

Fans of country music will still have the option to reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

The new stadium for the Titans will be covered and designed to enhance the fan experience, featuring expansive views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and a large community area that can be utilized throughout the year.

CMA Fest is a popular event for country music fans that started in 1972 as Fan Fair. It began with 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium and has grown into a major annual event for country music. Every year, thousands of guests from around the world come to Music City to watch over 250 performances on nine stages.

The CMA Fest 2024 will take place from June 6-9 in the heart of Nashville.
