In the near future, CMA Fest is expected to undergo changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans. This means that the event will not be the same as it has been in the past.
Even though Nissan Stadium has been hosting the festival's main shows for many years, they will be relocating to a new venue once it is finished.
The Country Music Association is planning to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans every year during CMA Fest and is excited to invite country music fans to Nashville for the nightly concerts at the new stadium.
A new stadium called the New Nissan Stadium will be constructed on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, located east of the current Nissan Stadium. The construction of the new stadium is expected to start this year and it is planned to be opened in 2027.
Fans of country music can still reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by crossing the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The new stadium for the Titans will be enclosed and designed to provide fans with an enhanced experience, offering panoramic views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized year-round.
CMA Fest, originally known as Fan Fair, has been established as the ultimate experience for country music fans since 1972. What initially started with 5,000 fans gathering at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium has now grown into one of the largest yearly events in country music. Every year, tens of thousands of guests from around the world come together in Music City to watch over 250 performances on nine stages.
