The Future of CMA Fest: What to Expect with the New Nissan Stadium

  • by

The upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans means that CMA Fest will undergo significant changes in the coming years.

Even though Nissan Stadium has hosted the festival's main shows for many years, they will be relocating to a new venue once construction is finished.

The Country Music Association has stated that they will continue their partnership with the Tennessee Titans for CMA Fest each year. They are excited to host country music fans in Nashville for the nightly concerts at the new stadium.

A new stadium, appropriately named the New Nissan Stadium, is planned to be constructed on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, located east of the current Nissan Stadium. The construction is expected to start this year and the stadium is projected to open in 2027.

Fans of country music can still get to the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

The new stadium for the Titans will be different from their current one, as it will be enclosed and focused on providing fans with an enhanced experience. It will offer panoramic views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.

CMA Fest is known as the ultimate event for country music fans, starting in 1972 as Fan Fair with just 5,000 attendees at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. Now, it has grown into one of the largest country music events, attracting tens of thousands of guests from around the world to Music City to enjoy over 250 performances on nine stages.
