The Future of CMA Fest: What to Expect as Shows Move to New Nissan Stadium

  • by

The CMA Fest is expected to undergo significant changes in the coming years due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans. This will likely result in a different experience for attendees compared to what they are used to.

The main shows of the festival have been held at Nissan Stadium for a number of years, but they will be relocated to the new venue once construction is finished.

The Country Music Association is planning to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest and is excited to host country music fans in Nashville for the nightly concerts at the new stadium.

A new stadium, appropriately named the New Nissan Stadium, will be constructed on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, located east of the current Nissan Stadium. The construction is planned to start this year, and the stadium is expected to open in 2027.

Fans of country music will continue to have access to the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

The new stadium for the Titans will be a covered facility designed to enhance the fan experience, offering wide views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.

CMA Fest, initially known as Fan Fair, started in 1972 as a gathering for country music fans. It has grown significantly since then, attracting tens of thousands of guests from around the world to Music City each year. The event features over 250 acts performing on nine stages, making it one of the largest annual events in country music.

The CMA Fest 2024 will take place from June 6-9 in the heart of Nashville.
