Super Bowl 58 is expected to have the highest ticket prices ever, making it a game for wealthy individuals. If you plan on attending this year's Super Bowl, be prepared to pay top dollar.
As of Thursday, the least expensive single ticket available was priced at $8,000 on the ticket resale website TickPick. This ticket would provide a seat in the upper 300 section, with the assurance that a seat is ensured at that price.
If the current prices remain steady, this Super Bowl ticket will be recorded as the priciest one in history. The previous record holder was the 2020 Super Bowl, where the average ticket price was $6,370. The main reason for the high prices in 2020 was because the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, were competing in the game. However, this year, that is not the case.
The upcoming Super Bowl will be the first one held in Las Vegas, and experts believe this unique location is causing ticket prices to increase. Fans are excited at the opportunity to spend a weekend in Sin City and attend the most prominent sporting event in the world.
Just in case you were curious, the average price for a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.
For 49er fans, the location of the game is an important factor when buying tickets. According to StubHub, 26 percent of ticket sales are from California, as fans prefer to make the shorter trip to see their favorite team play. In comparison, only 7 percent of ticket sales on StubHub come from Kansas and Missouri combined.
Let's also consider the influence of Taylor Swift! Her presence at the event may attract a larger number of female fans than usual.
Regardless of how you enter, Allegiant Stadium, which has a capacity of 65,000 seats, will be filled to capacity. Super Bowl 58 is scheduled to start on Sunday, February 11, at 6:30PM ET.
