The Future of CMA Fest: What to Expect with the New Nissan Stadium

  • by

The Tennessee Titans are getting a new stadium which means that CMA Fest will undergo changes in the coming years.

Even though the festival has been held at Nissan Stadium for many years, the main shows will be moved to a new venue once it is finished.

The Country Music Association plans to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans every year during CMA Fest, and they are excited to invite country music fans to Nashville for the nightly concerts at the new stadium.

Construction will begin this year on the New Nissan Stadium, located on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, to the east of the current Nissan Stadium. The stadium is expected to open in 2027.

Fans of country music can still reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by crossing the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

The new stadium for the Titans will be indoors and focused on providing an enhanced fan experience. It will offer expansive views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and a large community area that can be utilized throughout the year.

CMA Fest, originally known as Fan Fair, started in 1972 as a way for country music fans to come together. It has now grown into a large annual event in Nashville, drawing in tens of thousands of visitors from around the world to see over 250 performances on nine stages.
