The upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans suggests that CMA Fest will undergo significant changes in the near future.
The main shows of the festival have been held at Nissan Stadium for many years, but once the new venue is finished, they will be relocating there.
The Country Music Association plans to keep collaborating with the Tennessee Titans during the CMA Fest each year. They are excited to host country music fans in Nashville for the evening concerts at the new stadium.
A new stadium, named the New Nissan Stadium, will be constructed east of the current Nissan Stadium on the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction will start this year, and the stadium is expected to open in 2027.
Fans of country music will still have the option to reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by utilizing the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The new venue for the Titans will be different from their current stadium as it will be enclosed and focused on providing an enhanced experience for fans. It will feature panoramic views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and a large community space that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest, originally known as Fan Fair, has been taking place since 1972 and is considered the ultimate experience for country music fans. It began with 5,000 fans gathering at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium and has since grown into one of the largest annual events in country music. Every year, thousands of guests from around the world come to Music City to enjoy performances from over 250 acts across nine stages.
