Super Bowl 58 is on track to have the priciest tickets ever sold for the game. If you're hoping to attend this year's Super Bowl, you'll need to be prepared to spend a lot of money.
As of Thursday, the lowest priced single ticket available on the ticket resale site TickPick was $8,000. This ticket would provide a seat in the upper 300 section, however, the site does mention that the purchase guarantees a seat.
If the current prices remain steady, this Super Bowl ticket will be known as the most costly in history. The previous record holder for highest ticket prices was the 2020 Super Bowl, where the average ticket price was $6,370. One of the reasons for the high prices that year was the fact that the home team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, were playing. This is not the situation for this year's Super Bowl.
The upcoming Super Bowl will be the first to take place in Las Vegas, and experts believe this is causing ticket prices to rise as fans are excited to experience a weekend in Sin City and attend the biggest sporting event of the year.
In case you were curious, the average cost of a ticket to the inaugural Super Bowl was $12.
The location plays a significant role in attracting 49er fans, as shown by StubHub's data indicating that 26 percent of ticket sales come from California. This suggests that fans living closer to the team's home base are more likely to attend games. In contrast, only 7 percent of ticket sales on StubHub are from Kansas and Missouri combined.
Don't overlook the influence of Taylor Swift! Her presence at the event could attract a larger female audience than usual.
Regardless of how you manage to enter, Allegiant Stadium with 65,000 seats will be completely full. The Super Bowl 58 will start on Sunday, February 11th at 6:30PM ET.
