Reba McEntire Returns to TV: Reuniting with ‘Reba’ Team for New Sitcom

Country music star Reba McEntire is reuniting with the team from her previous sitcom "Reba" for a new television show. She will be returning to television after a break.

Following her role as a coach on the singing competition show The Voice, Reba McEntire is partnering with NBC once again for a new multi-camera comedy pilot that is currently untitled.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the show centers around the main character played by McEntire, who unexpectedly becomes co-owner of her father's restaurant with a half-sister she didn't know existed.

McEntire is going to work with experienced showrunner Kevin Abbott again, who has worked on shows like Last Man Standing, Roseanne, and The Golden Girls.

Michael Hanel and Mindy Schultheis, who previously worked as executive producers on the show Reba, are said to be joining Reba McEntire on her upcoming NBC comedy series.

NBC has made its first pilot order for 2024 following the conclusion of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

The singer known for "Fancy" made her TV debut in the early 2000s with the popular sitcom Reba, which aired for six seasons from 2001 to 2007.

In the show, McEntire played the role of a mother from Texas who is dealing with the breakup of her marriage, her husband's infidelity, and her daughter's pregnancy as a teenager.
