Reba McEntire Reunites with ‘Reba’ Team for New NBC Sitcom: What to Expect

Reba McEntire is returning to television with a new sitcom, reuniting with the team from her previous show "Reba."

Following her time as a coach on The Voice, Reba McEntire is collaborating with NBC once more for a new comedy pilot that has not yet been given a title.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the show follows the story of McEntire's character, who unexpectedly inherits her father's restaurant. She is initially unhappy to find out that she now has to run the business with the half-sister she never knew existed.

McEntire will team up again with experienced showrunner Kevin Abbott, known for his work on Last Man Standing, Roseanne, and The Golden Girls.

According to reports, Michael Hanel and Mindy Schultheis, who previously worked as executive producers on Reba, will be joining Reba McEntire on her upcoming NBC comedy series.

NBC has made its first pilot order for 2024 following the conclusion of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

The singer known for the song "Fancy" made her TV debut in the early 2000s with a popular sitcom called Reba, which aired for six seasons from 2001 to 2007.

The show featured McEntire in the role of a mother from Texas who is dealing with the breakup of her marriage, her husband's infidelity, and her daughter's unexpected pregnancy during her teenage years.
