The Tennessee Titans are getting a new stadium soon, which means that CMA Fest will undergo changes in the near future.
The main shows of the festival have been held at Nissan Stadium for a while now, but they will be moved to a new venue once it is finished.
The Country Music Association is planning to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest and is excited to host country music fans in Nashville for the nightly concerts at the new stadium.
A new stadium, appropriately named the New Nissan Stadium, is planned to be constructed east of the current Nissan Stadium on the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The building process is expected to start this year, and it is projected to open in 2027.
Fans of country music can still get to the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by utilizing the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
In contrast to where the Titans currently play, the new stadium will be covered and designed to provide fans with an exceptional experience, offering wide views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and a large community area that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest is a major event for country music fans that began in 1972 as Fan Fair. Originally, only 5,000 fans attended the event at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium, but it has since grown into a massive annual gathering for country music enthusiasts. Thousands of guests from around the world come to Music City each year to watch over 250 performances on nine different stages.
