In the near future, CMA Fest is expected to undergo some changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans. This will likely result in a different experience for attendees compared to what they are used to.
The festival's main shows have been held at Nissan Stadium for many years, but they will be relocated to a new venue once construction is finished.
The Country Music Association has stated that they intend to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest. They are excited to host country music fans in Nashville for the evening concerts at the new stadium.
A new stadium, appropriately named the New Nissan Stadium, is going to be constructed on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, situated east of the existing Nissan Stadium. The building process is expected to start this year, and the stadium is anticipated to open in 2027.
Fans of country music can still get to the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The new stadium for the Titans will be enclosed and designed to provide fans with a better experience. It will offer panoramic views of Nashville, a roof that lets in light, and 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest is a popular event for country music fans, originally known as Fan Fair and starting in 1972. It began with 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium and has grown into a major annual event for country music. Each year, thousands of guests from around the world come to Music City to watch over 250 performances on nine stages.
