In the future, CMA Fest may undergo changes due to the Tennessee Titans moving to a new stadium. This could mean a different experience for attendees of the festival.
The festival's main shows have been held at Nissan Stadium for many years, but they will be relocated to a new venue once it is finished.
The Country Music Association intends to keep collaborating with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest and is excited to host country music fans in Nashville for the evening concerts at the new stadium. Taste of Country was informed of these plans by the CMA.
A new stadium, appropriately named the New Nissan Stadium, will be constructed east of the current Nissan Stadium on the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction is planned to start this year, and the stadium is expected to open in 2027.
Fans of country music can still reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The new stadium for the Titans will be completely enclosed and focused on providing fans with an enhanced experience. It will offer panoramic views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest is a popular event for country music fans that started in 1972 as Fan Fair. The event began with 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium and has since grown into a major annual event in country music. Every year, thousands of guests from around the world come together in Music City to enjoy over 250 performances on nine different stages.
